Nurse Practitioner Program Coming to an End

In March 2023, a Nurse Practitioner led clinic pilot program began at Rundle Health Centre. The intent of this program was to provide patients without a primary care provider episodic care, followed by attachment to a Medical Home.

Unfortunately, this pilot program was found to be unsustainable for the PCN to continue to support. One factor was the lack of family physicians accepting new patients in Edmonton and across the province. The NP clinic will officially close as of May 31, 2024. If you were a patient of the Nurse Practitioner at Rundle Health Centre, you should have received a letter from the PCN informing you of the ending of the clinic.

With Rundle Health Centre closing March 1, the NP clinic will move over to the PCNs other location at the Edmonton Community Health Hub North until the clinic ends on May 31. We will not be accepting new patients during this time.

Patients will be provided with the doctors who are accepting new patients within the Edmonton North PCN, as well as the information for the Alberta Find a Doctor website (www.albertafindadoctor.ca)

If you have any questions about the ending of this pilot program, please contact Kayla Ransom, Clinical Services Manager at kransom@enpcn.com or 780-377-4051.
