There are a number of classes that are being offered by different PCNs in the Edmonton Zone. All these classes are held virtually and you do not need a referral from a physician. Please see the classes available and how to register (you will register via the PCN who is hosting the class).

Workplace stress and bullying

Want to learn how to deal with your anger? In this online video, clinicians talk about what causes and maintains anger, help you learn about your own anger styles, and touch on why we get so angry. Eating the Mediterranean Way

The Mediterranean diet is an evidence-based diet proven to reduce the risk of heart disease, cancer, high blood pressure, and helps with weight management. This way of eating is popular in countries such as Greece, Italy, Morocco and Spain. Beginner Exercise Classes

Beginner workout you can do from your living room. Exercise Specialists will lead you through a fitness session that is good for your heart and muscles. Suitable for all levels of fitness.

Virtual Drop in Exercise

Led by an Exercise Specialist, this class focuses on guiding you through low impact stretches and exercises. Each class will focus on a specific muscle group, so you optimize your workout and learn exercises associated with different muscle groups. We do not require medical screenings for participation in this class, so if you have any concerns please contact one of our Exercise Specialists to discuss them.

Diabetes Management

Learn about diabetes, how it is treated and the potential problems it can cause to your health. Find out how to make changes to your daily life to help you control diabetes, such as managing your blood sugar level, taking care of your feet and setting personal goals. This class requires a referral!

This class requires a referral from a primary care provider who is a member of the Edmonton North Primary Care Network. 

Steps to get a referral:

  1. Book an appointment with your primary care provider
  2. Ask for a referral to this class
  3. Our staff will contact you once we receive your referral to book you into this class
