Our feet are one of the most important parts of our body and yet they tend to be the most neglected! This program offers short-term care for those who are unable to care for their own feet due to age or illness and is run by a team of trained nurses.
At the first visit, you will receive a full foot assessment and will be asked questions about their medical history in addition to looking at the kind of shoes you wear. his clinic puts a strong emphasis on education, often sharing creative ways that you can care for your own feet, even when they have mobility issues.
Our nurses can show you the proper way to cut your toenails to minimize the risk of developing ingrown toenails and other abnormalities. We will review basic hygiene, help you care for your corns, callouses, and cracked heels and we can provide annual foot assessments for those with diabetes, circulatory disorders or problems with sensation.
While many of the patients who come to this clinic have diabetes, this clinic is open to anyone looking for help in managing their foot conditions and learning how to care for their feet to prevent issues from arising in the first place.
