Nurse Practitioner

Rundle Health Centre now has a Nurse Practitioner who is supporting patients who do not have a primary care provider. If you do not have a primary care provider and are looking for establishing an ongoing relationship with one, our Nurse Practitioner could be a good option. Appointments can be booked over the phone and some walk-ins may be available.

This service is offered at:

  • Services at Rundle Health Centre are available to you if you have a T5W, T5A or T5Y postal code. You do not require a referral. You can either call or walk in to book an appointment.

The Nurse Practitioner will see for:

  • Medical care across the life span for infants, children, adults or older adults
  • Chronic disease management or screening 
  • STI screening and treatment 
  • Minor surgical procedures such as: stitches, wart treatments, small mole removals or biopsies, abscesses or toenail removal 
  • Urgent care for coughs, cold/flu symptoms, acute MSK injuries, urinary tract infections 
  • Prescription refills (no narcotics or controlled substances)
 
The intent of this service is to attach patients with a primary care provider to provide ongoing care and support to patients.

How to Register for Classes?

Edmonton North PCN

This class is open for anyone to register for. No need for a referral from your family doctor.

 

Steps to register for a class:

  1. Find the class you would like to attend and call 780-473-7131.
  2. A few days before the class start date, you will receive an email with a link to the virtual group, along with an electronic copy of the class materials.
  3. You can also download the class materials from the class description, there is a link there.

This class requires a referral from a primary care provider who is a member of the Edmonton North Primary Care Network. 

Steps to get a referral:

  1. Book an appointment with your primary care provider
  2. Ask for a referral to this class
  3. Our staff will contact you once we receive your referral to book you into this class
